Paranaguá exports the soybean and meal of Paraná state and receives fertilisers in return; vessels wait at the anchorage for their berth in the export corridor and often take bunkers there, by barge, before or after loading. Anchorage deliveries with a loaded vessel at trim are exactly where sounding errors and apparent shortages appear.
