Nueva Palmira is the gateway of the Paraná–Paraguay waterway: barge convoys from Paraguay and Bolivia discharge soybean and iron ore here and ocean vessels load them for export. Time charters often start or end at Nueva Palmira, so on-hire and off-hire surveys, ROB verification and bunker deliveries concentrate on this river bend.

UPRIVER Marine attends Nueva Palmira from Rosario and Montevideo: on-hire bunker and condition surveys, BROB and BQS, draft surveys at the Navios and TGU terminals, and supervision of barge-to-ship transhipment for exporters and barge operators. We also prepared the mooring plans and risk assessments for berths 4 and 5 of Navios Terminal.

How we work here

On-hire / off-hire: soundings of all tanks at delivery, ROB reconstruction against the Master's notice, hull and hold condition with photos.
Barge transhipment: draft survey of each barge, sequence and trim of the ocean vessel, final quantities reconciled with the terminal.
Bunker deliveries by barge: BROB before, barge soundings, BDN and samples.
