UP RIVER MARINE SRL (“UPRIVER Marine”, “we”) provides independent marine survey and port captaincy services in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and the United States. This policy explains how we handle personal data on our website, our client portal and the tools our team uses, including our LinkedIn integration.
Data we collect
- Website and contact forms: name, company, email address, phone number and the content of your message, used only to answer your inquiry and to provide our services.
- Client portal: business contact details of clients and agents (name, company, email), job and survey records, reports and invoices related to the services contracted.
- Analytics: aggregated, non-identifying statistics about visits to this website (Google Analytics and Google Search Console).
- LinkedIn integration (team members only): when a member of our team connects their LinkedIn account to our internal content tool, LinkedIn shares with us their name, email address and profile identifier, and grants our application permission to publish posts on that member’s own profile, on their explicit request, one post at a time. We do not read the member’s connections, messages or activity, and we never post without the member’s action.
How we use the data
To provide and document our services, to communicate with clients and agents, to issue invoices and reports, to operate our internal tools, and to comply with legal and contractual obligations. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties except service providers that host our systems (web, email and cloud storage) under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
LinkedIn data in particular
Access tokens granted by LinkedIn are stored encrypted-at-rest on our own servers, are used solely to publish the posts each team member approves, and expire automatically within 60 days. Any team member can revoke the authorization at any time from our internal tool or from their LinkedIn settings (Settings & Privacy > Data privacy > Permitted services), after which the token is deleted. We do not share LinkedIn data with anyone.
Retention and security
Job records, reports and invoices are kept for the period required by commercial and tax law. Contact inquiries are kept while the business relationship is active. Data is stored on servers protected by access control, encryption in transit (TLS) and regular backups.
Your rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data, or object to its processing, by writing to operations@uprivermarine.com. We answer within 30 days.
